Mathematics Scheme of Work

A brief guide to the SoW - YouTube Video

The Mathematical Journey

All Year groups follow the same journey through the year but working at different levels of work, so for example Module 8 covers work involving angles and some students will be drawing angles whilst others will be using Trigonometry to solve complex 3D problems.  Year 7 follow an amended programme in the first term and there will be flexibility in Year 11 depending upon the identified areas of needs of the particular group.

Teachers should seek to include the use of manipulatives, practical equipment, visual prompts, discussions, sketches, accurate drawings, ... whilst tackling Investigations (nrich type tasks), Projects, Contextual problems, Worksheets, textbooks and look for opportunities to develop links to other parts of the curriculum.
